taste and smell improved within
weeks, improved communication skills, better
movement and less tremor.

walking has become a lot harder
in the last six months; inability for body to cope
with extreme temperature.

? yes
How well do you think the
DBS worked?
controls the 'off' period
quite well, have been able to cut down on tablets, but dyskinesias
still a problem.
10. Additional comments:
The trial was a window of hope in a
room of despair. Parkinson's is as much a condition of
the mind as it is physical. Since coming off the trial,
it is harder to cope with the extreme changes in the
condition.
